My Journey
I’m Rochelle Cheever, founder of The Elopement Experience™ and author of several books on luxury elopements.
Raised in Rome, I developed a deep understanding of art, architecture, and European culture, which continues to shape how I design destination elopements and today.
With formal fine art training from the Corcoran School or Art & the Florence Academy, I began my career as a painter and photographer, developing a disciplined eye for design, composition, and detail. Over the past two decades, that foundation has evolved into a design-led approach to planning luxury elopements and intimate weddings.
Today, as a creative director and elopement planner, I combine European sensibility with a modern chic California feel to design tailored elopement experiences in Italy, California, and destinations worldwide.
