I’m Rochelle Cheever, founder of The Elopement Experience™ and an award-winning luxury elopement planner and designer specializing in destination elopements in Italy, California, and worldwide.

I work as a creative director and lead planner, overseeing every decision that shapes the elopement, from location and venue selection to design direction, timeline, and execution. Couples come to me because they don’t want to manage, research, or second-guess their wedding. They want it handled with intention and clarity.

With nearly 20 years in the wedding industry and a background in fine art, I bring professional design to elopement planning. My role is not to present endless options, but to pre-curate venues, vendors, and design choices so couples make confident decisions without overwhelm.

Most elopements rely on the landscape to do the work. I treat the landscape as the canvas and design everything within it, light, space, materials, color & design, movement, and flow, so the day works as a cohesive whole, not a collection of moments.
