3-Day Intimate Wedding in Tuscany's Val d'Orcia in Private Villa

Daniel & Annie | A Three-Day Destination Wedding Near Pienza

For Daniel and Annie, a destination wedding in Tuscany meant bringing their closest family and friends together for more than a single wedding day. They envisioned a multi-day celebration, beautiful surroundings, wonderful Italian food, and, most importantly, time with the people they love.

Their intimate wedding brought 20 guests from Texas and California to a private villa in Val d'Orcia, near the charming hilltop town of Pienza. Surrounded by rolling Tuscan hills, the villa offered breathtaking countryside views, an olive grove, a swimming pool, and private accommodations for everyone to stay together.

Rather than hosting a large traditional wedding where the celebration is over in a matter of hours, Daniel and Annie chose a multiday destination wedding that combined the getting married with the pleasures of traveling together. The entire celebration took place at their private villa, allowing everyone to settle in, relax, and experience the Italian lifestyle.

The wedding design reflected Annie's love of pink. From custom-made table linens to romantic floral arrangements and thoughtful decorative details, shades of pink carried through the welcome dinner and wedding day, with a different tablescape designed for each celebration.

Over three days, the wedding unfolded through shared meals, Italian aperitivi, an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Tuscan countryside, sunset photographs, music, dancing, and a farewell brunch.

It was a celebration centered on family, the destination, and the simple pleasure of being together.

Welcome Party & Arrival

The celebration began with guests arriving at the private Tuscan villa, settling into their rooms, and gathering for an Italian aperitivo with Spritz cocktails.

A private chef prepared the welcome dinner featuring Caprese with fresh mozzarella and pomodorini, followed by pici al ragù, a traditional Tuscan pasta, accompanied by local wines.

We set the table with custom-made pink linens reflecting Annie's favorite color. It was a relaxed evening of good food, conversation, and family catching up around the table. And inbetween courses, we squeezed in a few engagment photos.
